Brain Tap

Neurologically Based Chiropractic

As a doctor I am always looking for better ways to evaluate and care for my patients. So in 2011, I came across a piece of diagnostic equipment known as the NeuroInfiniti. This particular piece of equipment is  a research grade diagnostic tool that gives me the ability to evaluate the  autonomic nervous system. The autonomic nervous system is the part of the nervous system that controls and coordinates all the things you don't have to think about. Like heart rate, digestion, body temperature, skin conductance, and EEG or brain wave activity, and respiratory function. As chiropractors this kind of information is essential for determining what course of correction to take and length of time needed for that correction. But there is one more thing that makes this work and the NeuroInfiniti so unique, and that is the fact that it helps to educate the patient about the real problem they are experiencing. Think about this, when someone has a heart attack, they often complain of pain in the left arm, jaw, or neck, and even the right shoulder for women. This is because the nerves that feed the heart also feed the areas I just mentioned. So the converse must also be true. Pain in the body can be linked to underlying problems in the organs. The NeuroInfiniti gives us the ability to not only see these changes in a way we never could before but it also offers us the ability to recruit other health care professionals as needed to ensure the needs of the patient come first. This one test gives the patient the ability to make decisions based on fact and understanding in a way that was not available before. Each patient receives a copy of their SRE or Stress Response Evaluation and Doctor's Report where I spend a minimum of an hour explaining their findings and recommendations. Click here to view an example of an SRE. You may have been to other doctors but none of the doctors in this area are performing this type of exam. Consider an evaluation if you are stuck in your quest for greater health.

Biofeedback

Biofeedback is a treatment technique in which people are trained to improve their health by using signals from their own bodies. Chiropractors have been using biofeedback for decades to help patients with stress, anxiety, physical limitations, and even trauma recovery. Most importantly however, chiropractors are using biofeedback to literally retrain the nervous system. Chances are you have used biofeedback already. You've used it if you have ever taken your temperature or stepped on a scale. The thermometer tells you whether you're running a fever, the scale whether you've gained weight. Both devices "feed back" information about your body's condition. Armed with this information, you can take steps you've learned to improve the condition.

Chiropractors rely on complex biofeedback machines in the same way that you rely on your scale or thermometer. These machines can detect a person's internal bodily functions with far greater sensitivity and precision than a person can alone. This information is extremely valuable. It aids your doctor in gauging and directing your progress and treatment. For more information on this important topic call to reserve a seat in one of our monthly doctor’s report classes.

Mind-Fit

The Mind-fit Neuro Trainer is an extraordinary technology that gently delivers pulses of light through specialized glasses, while simultaneously playing synchronized tones through headphones. Combining the sound and light takes the body to a more profound level of relaxation and focus. The Mind-Fit uses self-mastery technology along with Neuro Sensory Algorithms to gently guide you from wide awake to an optimum state of learning or relaxation. This technology also uses spoken word messaging to form mental images through visualization. The audio/visual stimulation combines light and sound as well as guided relaxation to help lower stress levels and balance your nervous system.

The benefits of Mind-Fit include brain balance, increased blood flow to the brain which will create clearer thinking, improved memory, and creativity. Research has shown increases in serotonin levels by up to 21%. This increase in Serotonin will give you a sense of calm and well being.  Research has also shown that your Endorphin levels (feel good hormones) can increase by as much as 25%. Elevated serotonin and endorphin levels have both been shown to stimulate greater rest and healing. Everyone can benefit from the Mind-Fit technology whether you are a student, athlete, or business owner this system is a great addition to your health and wellness regimen.
